1/2 cup sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon butter
1 pinch baking powder
Powdered sugar to dust the finished cake
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Peel and core apples, cut into small pieces.
Whisk 4 eggs with 1/2 cup sugar on high speed for 6-10 minutes until thick and fluffy.
Mix together 1 cup flour with a pinch of baking powder. Sift the flour into the foamy egg mixture, mix well.
Fold in the diced apples and transfer batter to a greased baking pan and bake for 35-45 minutes.
The top will be golden brown.
Remove from oven and let cool in the pan for 15 minutes dust with powdered sugar and serve.
